I truly wish I was as good with words as you are. This year has been the most challenging yet most rewarding year. It’s so odd that through your hardest moments, the silver linings are really there, and behind the clouds, the brightest light that has ever shined. I have learned that no matter what happens, when you act through love, act with love, the most difficult battles become the most rewarding. Some times, it can be easy to lose faith. Not in a God like most people would read this, but faith in yourself in staying who you are, even when things are against you. Though fear can take over, love and light are always there, and if you look closely you will always find that it’s there, forming, as long as you keep believing. Believe that you can be yourself and apply all your strengths when challenges arise. After that, when you accomplish that, dreams can come true and all the right doors will open. 100 years. People always say life is short, but it’s literally the longest thing you’ll do. Today we had the honor and blessing to be able to celebrate my grandpa Lucho’s 100th birthday. Imagine all the things that have happened in the last 100 years, he’s lived through them. He’s the patriarch of the family and his roots are deeply grounded and his branches have extended to all parts of the world. All 19 grandchildren (including myself) are photographed here. It’s so amazing that we were all able to fly in to celebrate this momentous event in Peru. All of his 12 children were also present, and almost all of his 12 greatgrandkids too. This is something we will never forget. A celebration we will all cherish. I recognize this party was more for us than him, but nonetheless I love how much love he still gives and the fact that my guy does more squats and exercise than me and was a champ to take so many photos today. My grandpa is pretty much the 🐐 and I’m glad we were able to celebrate him today! It’s hard to believe this is only our second Christmas together. I’m always thankful for everything and this year was a year full of growth for me. It was a hard year. I was unemployed for half a year, and it broke me down emotionally and mentally. I lost 4 people this year in the span of a week, each loss with its own weight. But through it all, these two kept me together and they both always kept me pushing through. My family has been a great source of comfort and strength and I’m excited for this new year and all the things coming. Virus or no virus. This past week my son turned 11. Sharing him is my least favorite thing ever, and part of the reason I don’t like sharing. He went from asking me to sing him lullabies when he was a baby to now asking me to sing him happy birthday with my guitar (in front of people!). I never would have thought that working from home would be my norm. I never really talk about what I do for work, but I want to change that this year. For the last five years, I’ve been with @shore_usa. Trying to help small businesses have all the tools necessary in order to compete with these big names. We provide an online booking software and CRM for small businesses so their customers can book them online (we even connect via Facebook, Instagram, and their website). We also have email and text marketing features to make sure they’re at the top of their customers minds. And to top it all off, we build websites to make sure they look professional af. The last nine months or so, have really surprised me. I’ve met hustlers, bosses, and some of the hardest working creative people and it’s hard not to be inspired. It seems it’s hard to make something out of nothing, and life will always throw curveballs at you. Like this pandemic for example. You either try and hit it out the park, or let yourself get struck out. I think that’s how it goes lol, I don’t care much for baseball, or sports in general, so maybe not the best analogy.
